1. Who we are
RoofCaster provides web and mobile software for vehicle-based digital advertising, campaign management, fleet/device operations, driver payouts, support, and related services.
For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact us at privacy@roofcaster.com. If your deployment requires a named legal entity, postal address, EU/UK representative, or data protection officer, those details should be added before launch.
2. Personal information we collect
Account and profile data: name, email address, phone number, role, company/workspace details, login identifiers, and authentication metadata.
Campaign and business data: advertiser details, creative files, campaign zones, schedules, budgets, invoices, payment status, and support messages.
Driver and vehicle data: driver profile, vehicle/device assignment, route participation, GPS/location events when a campaign or device feature uses location, mileage, proof-of-play events, earnings, payout information, and compliance records.
Device and usage data: IP address, browser/device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, logs, crash diagnostics, cookie identifiers, approximate location from IP, and interactions with the service.
Payment data: billing contact, transaction records, payout metadata, and limited payment status. Full card or bank details may be handled by payment processors rather than stored directly by RoofCaster.
3. Why we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, run campaigns, assign devices, verify ad playback, calculate pricing and payouts, provide analytics, process billing, prevent fraud, comply with law, respond to support requests, and improve our services.
Where required by law, we rely on consent, contract performance, legitimate interests, legal compliance, or another lawful basis. You may withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, but that will not affect processing already completed.
4. Location and telemetry
RoofCaster products may use precise or approximate location and device telemetry to match campaigns to zones, confirm proof-of-play, measure route coverage, protect against fraud, and calculate driver earnings.
Drivers should only enable tracking for vehicles and devices they are authorized to operate. Location-based features may be limited or unavailable if permissions are disabled.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use strictly necessary cookies for authentication, session security, routing, and preferences. We may also use analytics or advertising cookies where enabled and permitted by law.
Where legally required, we will provide consent choices and honor valid opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control where applicable.
6. How we share information
We may share information with service providers that host infrastructure, process payments, provide analytics, support communications, maps/location services, security tooling, and customer operations.
Workspace administrators may see user, campaign, device, analytics, and billing information tied to their workspace. Advertisers may see campaign delivery and proof-of-play data. Drivers may see their own route, payout, and campaign participation data.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, during a business transaction, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell personal information for money.
7. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, satisfy tax/accounting requirements, enforce agreements, and comply with law.
Telemetry, proof-of-play, billing, and compliance records may need to be retained after account closure where required for audits, fraud prevention, payment reconciliation, or legal obligations.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have rights to opt out of certain sharing, targeted advertising, or automated profiling where applicable.
California residents may request access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt out of sale or sharing of personal information where the CCPA applies. We do not discriminate against users for exercising privacy rights.
EEA, UK, and Swiss users may contact a supervisory authority if they believe our processing violates applicable data protection law.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service is completely secure, so users must also protect their passwords, devices, API keys, and workspace access.
10. International transfers
Information may be processed in countries where RoofCaster or its service providers operate. When required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards such as contractual protections or other lawful mechanisms.
11. Children
RoofCaster is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Business users and drivers must meet the age and legal capacity requirements for their role.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, legal obligations, or data practices change. The updated effective date will show when the policy was last revised.
